The weekly truth #7

This weeks post is slightly late, around 12 hours but who is counting 😉 Over the weekend I got a horrible cold, which seems to be getting worse rather than better, so I’m battling through the days and nights at the moment. I could feel my throat starting to hurt on Thursday evening and on Friday got some first defence in the hope hoping that it would help me fight this off, but oh no, it didn’t. Friday evening, I went to bed early as I was teaching my last couple of classes on Saturday and really wanted to go ahead with them.

On Saturday morning, I felt absolute rubbish and had made the decision to cancel the lunch time class but to go ahead with the morning class as it was too late to cancel that one. It wasn’t an easy decision for me to cancel the class as I was really looking forward to teaching the last class of this year and also didn’t want to let down my students. I guess as a teacher it’s a fine line sometimes to know how far to push yourself in order to teach a class and to just rest up. And I had to battle with myself but as the saying goes, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

I really enjoyed teaching the morning class and had some great students join me for this special Christmas themed class. It made me think how far I’ve come teaching wise during this year and want to thank all my students who have supported my throughout this year, no matter if you’ve been to my class once or ten times. I’ve learnt from all of you and I can’t wait to find out what 2018 has in store for us.

Next Monday is Christmas day, so I will be posting later on during the week with a combination of my weekly truth and my review of 2017.

Until next week,

Jen x
