Pregnancy Yoga Workshop /// Saturday, 6th January 2018 @ Studio iO 11:15 – 13:15
Pregnancy yoga has many benefits. On a physical level the specially adapted yoga postures will help strengthen tone and create flexibility in the body. The sessions will boast vitality, reduce stress and help relieve common pregnancy ailments such as back ache and fluid retention.

The breathing exercises relax the nervous system and bring increased oxygen to the body and therefore the baby. They are very useful to use during labour to help deal with the contractions.

Movements and positions which are beneficial for each stage of labour are incorporated into the workshop and the ends with a deep rest.

The session will start with meditation and a journalling session. This is followed by a few pranayama practices, a sequence of yoga postures to strengthen, tone and created flexibility within the boy and is sealed with a deep rest. Please bring a notepad and a pen for the journalling session. Yoga mats and props are provided. All levels welcome.
